The 2010 IFES AGM and Convention was held on 23-24 June 2010 in Shanghai, China.
The event was a huge success. We had 96 participants from 18 countries. The event served as a platform for sharing knowledge. Local speakers introduced to the exhibit business in specific parts of Asia, such as, Japan and China, giving the audience a general understanding of the exhibit business in Asia. IFES members establishing valuable relationships with Chinese partners. In summary, the presentations highlighted the benefit of having access of partnerships and the value IFES as an organization provide its members.
Our program also included visits to the EXPO 2010 Universal World Exhibition. The pavilions of the Netherlands, Chile, Taiwan and Macau.

"This year, IFES conducted the General Assembly of Members (AGM) with its members in Shanghai, China.
The China location was decided for three reasons- attract more Asian members to IFES, learn more about the Chinese exposition market, and attend the worlds largest World Expo 2010.
"The IFES business portion of the 3 day meeting was held at the Sofitel Hotel conference center 2 miles from the Expo site. The meeting was attended by 135 representatives from 27 countries. Thirty one guests were from China. Honored dignitaries from Shanghai presented information on the exposition industry in China and its continued growth in all of Asia.
