ASAL mourns Alvaro De Bernardino, one of its founding fathers

Alvaro de Bernardino left us, a man who devoted his whole life to our industry; in 1975, he promoted the idea of founding a federation of stand builders; in September of that same year, together with Paolo Plotini, Pier Paolo Vaj, Ambrogio Uguccioni and Luigi Rossi, he founded ASAL, which he presided for 10 consecutive years.

With IPIsystem, Mr. De Bernardino produced many of the most important fairs and exhibitions of the last 40 years, f.i. the finishing of the Teatro Regio with arch. Carlo Mollino, the Italian pavilions at the international Exhibitions of Sukuba, Vancouver, Brisbane, Sevilla and, as a consultant, in Lisbon in 1998.

Everyone who knew him, will remember his great enthusiasm and passion for our trade, passion that he spread through ASAL during all these many years.

Our deepest regrets to his family, colleagues and friends.
