Welcoming the Winds of Change at IFES’ 2022 World Summit

07.04.2022 | IFES Press Releases, News | 0 comments

When the upcoming IFES World Summit title was decided back in 2019, no one could have predicted the global storm that would devastate the Exhibitions and Events industry between then and the final realisation of the IFES World Summit in June 2022. Now, the Winds of Change theme reflects the positive signs of growth emerging within the pandemic-stricken Exhibitions and Events Industry.

After three long years apart, the IFES network can look forward to an in-person reunion at Keizersgrachtkerk, Amsterdam from the 15th to the 17th of June 2022. IFES members from over 30 countries will meet at the historic Felix Meritis (“happy through Merit”) – a 4500 m2 Louis Seize-style building built during the Age of Enlightenment, and, fittingly, a hotspot for creativity and crossover between scientists, artists, entrepreneurs and thinkers.

The 2022 World Summit promises an intensive 3-day programme of learning, idea exchange, game-changing content and cutting-edge networking opportunities. Participants will be treated to thought-provoking addresses by guest speakers of the calibre of Kai Hattendorf (Managing Director / CEO of UFI), Prof. Dr Carola Hieker (Associate Professor of Organisational Behavior and Leadership at The American International University in London), Dutch artist and innovator, Daan Roosegaarde and Charles Pappas (Senior Writer at Exhibitor Magazine and Expo 2020 Dubai Visitor Experience Consultant), amongst others.

The IFES members’ own voices are equally valued, and robust participation at the Solutions Tables is an integral part of the programme.
“We are thrilled to be able to connect face-to-face once more,” says Justin Hawes, IFES President. “Our industry thrives on personal connection, and without it, we have been incomplete. Together we are a resilient force with the power to effect fundamental change, and the winds of change have already begun to blow as we embark on the road to recovery.”

Early Bird registration is open until mid-May.
