Wrapping Up IFES World Summit 2025 – A Milestone Moment in Guadalajara

What a week it’s been in Guadalajara! As the 2025 IFES World Summit comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on an unforgettable few days of learning, sharing, celebrating—and looking ahead.

This year’s Summit was special for many reasons. Not only did we mark 40 years of IFES—four decades of connection, collaboration and growth—but we did so in one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in Latin America. Guadalajara gave us a warm welcome, and it was the perfect place to shine a spotlight on the growing importance of the LATAM region for our industry. From its energy and creativity to its commercial potential, the Latin American market is one we’re proud to be embracing more fully as a global community.
With the theme “Today’s Learnings, Tomorrow’s Sustainability!”, the Summit focused on how we take what we’ve learned over the years and channel it into real, sustainable impact. Across three packed days, our speakers took us deep into the topics that matter—from the practical role of AI in our work, to how we engage younger generations, to what genuine sustainability really looks like in the events and exhibitions space.

We heard from voices across the globe, bringing diverse perspectives on collaboration, circularity, innovation, and the future of our industry. It wasn’t just about ideas, either—it was about real-world examples, honest conversations, and plenty of inspiration.

And of course, it wouldn’t be an IFES Summit without those all-important connections. Whether it was a coffee break conversation that turned into a partnership, or new friendships formed over tacos and tequila, Guadalajara delivered on every front. The Gala Dinner at the stunning Hospicio Cabañas was a true highlight—equal parts celebration and reflection as we honoured the past and looked toward the future.
