INNOVATE & COMMUNICATE: AI TOOLS & INTERCULTURAL STRATEGIES

The IFES / EDPA Masterclass in Dallas closed on 25 August after bringing together industry professionals for valuable learning, exchange and cross-border conversation.

Under the theme “Across the Pond, Beyond the Booth”, the Masterclass focused on what it really takes to work successfully across international markets. From different business expectations and working styles to commercial awareness, sustainability and the human side of collaboration, the event offered a practical and timely look at how global exhibit projects are shaped long before anything is built.

More than anything, the Masterclass reinforced a simple but powerful idea: international success starts with understanding. Understanding different markets, different clients, different ways of working and the people behind every project.

A warm thank you to EDPA Texas Chapter, the speakers, participants and everyone who helped make this second annual IFES / EDPA US Masterclass possible.

Events like this strengthen the bridge between the US and global IFES communities — creating space for shared knowledge, stronger partnerships and more confident international collaboration.

Overview

The IFES / EDPA Masterclass in Dallas is designed for US exhibit companies working with international clients, European partners and global audiences.

While the exhibition industry may look familiar across markets, the way people prepare, brief, decide, communicate, negotiate and work on site can differ significantly. This is often where international projects become more complex — not because people are unwilling to collaborate, but because every team brings its own understanding of what is “normal” into the same project.

Across the Pond, Beyond the Booth looks beyond the physical booth to explore the business expectations, working styles and human interactions that shape successful international collaboration.

The programme brings together five connected perspectives: Europe and US exhibiting, commercial awareness, tariffs and tariff relief, practical sustainability, and the human factors that influence successful cross-border projects.

Put simply: before you build internationally, understand internationally.
