Objectives
The tasks of the committee are diverse and forward-looking. At its core, it’s about seeing digitization as an opportunity and showing measurable ways in which exhibition service providers can benefit from it.
This includes these three central pillars:
- Digital complements to existing offerings: The committee will analyze which digital tools and technologies can serve as a complement to the existing services provided by IFES members. The goal is to show how these tools increase value for customers, opening up new opportunities and highlighting how this knowledge can be effectively communicated to members.
- Efficiency and effectiveness in day-to-day operations: Another focus is on identifying digital tools that service providers need for their daily business and future direction to work more effectively and efficiently. From automation solutions to data analysis tools, the committee will develop practical recommendations and find ways to communicate these messages to our members.
- Digital strengthening of IFES itself: Finally, the Digital Committee will also deal with the digital needs of IFES as an association. It will examine which digital tools can improve internal communication, exchange and services for members. For example, the introduction of an IFES community app. The committee will develop strategies on how to implement and best manage these tools.

Is it scalable?
Is it critical to the industry?
How can we drive it forward for the whole industry?
With this Digital Solutions Committee, IFES is following its strategy and positioning the association as an industry pioneer. Not only to educate its members, but also to actively empower them to take advantage of the opportunities offered by digitalization. This will successfully shape the future of global exhibition and event services.
