From XDS’s viewpoint
When Bilka told us they were ready to make their first move across the Atlantic—to show up in the U.S. and make a quiet splash at the International Roofing Expo in Las Vegas—we knew we needed an exhibit that would feel bold, global and seamless. As XDS, we took on the design, encompassing the layout, brand-experience logic, visitor flow, lighting, graphics—everything that would enable Bilka to confidently speak to a new market. But we also knew that building it on U.S. soil, under U.S. show-conditions, demanded a trusted build partner. Through IFES cooperation, we tapped Laguna Displays, a U.S.-based firm with long experience in international exhibit builds, custom fabrication, rental and shipping worldwide.
As designers, we handed Laguna Displays the full set of drawings, the visitor-journey intent, brand touch-points and logistics schedule. We stayed closely involved, reviewing milestones, checking samples, coordinating shipping and on-site assembly. Bilka’s objective was clear: mark the U.S. entry, generate leads, network with North American buyers and show the Bilka brand as global-ready. The International Roofing Expo is precisely the show where visibility, networking and business-building converge.
When show-day arrived, the stand was in place. The graphics popped. The technology worked. The visitor flow ran as we planned. Bilka’s team was ready, and the audience responded. The success here wasn’t only about “we built the stand,” but about meeting the challenge of a new market, a major U.S. show and delivering the brand presence Bilka needed. For us at XDS, it’s a demonstration that design + trusted international build partnership = market-entry success.
From Laguna Displays Inc.’s viewpoint
When XDS approached us via IFES cooperation to execute a build in Las Vegas for Bilka, we knew this was more than another island booth—it was a strategic milestone for a European brand venturing into the U.S. At Laguna Displays, with 30+ years of experience and a global production network, we specialize in bringing design visions into real-world exhibits.
We reviewed the design package from XDS, looked at the shipping, logistics, and on-site rules for the International Roofing Expo. We recognized this as a show where “business is done” – exhibitors face not just display space, but lead generation and big-picture networking.
Our team took ownership of fabrication, transport to the Las Vegas Convention Center, installation, and coordination with show contractors, ensuring everything met the show’s deadlines and quality expectations. Our job wasn’t just build it—but build it reliably, on schedule, exactly matching XDS’s design and Bilka’s brand tone, so Bilka could focus on talking to their prospects. When the stand opened, everything held up. Visitors engaged. Bilka’s team felt confident. And we at Laguna Displays felt we’d delivered exactly what XDS and Bilka needed: a build partner who could execute globally-aware, U.S.-ready exhibition stands.
The Outcome
Designing this stand, XDS had one big vision: support Bilka’s global expansion by turning up in Las Vegas and making a strong first U.S. impression.
Building this stand, Laguna Displays carried that vision into reality—fabrication, logistics, on-site execution. The International Roofing Expo gave the stage; Bilka gave the ambition; we and Laguna Displays gave the means.
This cooperation under IFES is a real example of how design-expertise and build-expertise combine to help a client break new ground. From our side (XDS), the planning, storytelling, brand logic. From Laguna Displays’ side, the craftsmanship, logistics, and execution muscle. When the show lights came on, the stand was there, the brand was there, and Bilka was ready.
It’s a success story because for Bilka, the U.S. entry wasn’t a dream—it was delivered. And for both XDS and Laguna Displays, it’s proof that when you combine design and build under the right partnership, you bring global ambitions to the show floor.
