Arrival

The easiest way to get from the airport to the venue is by taxi. The journey takes about one hour and costs about 50€.

Wifi access

In Marriott Hotel the wifi code is your name and your room number. In the Planetarium Wifi: EugenWifi Username: efcc Password: 9845

Smoking

Please note that smoking is not allowed in the entire venue. It is possible to smoke in front of the Planetarium. This also applies to electric cigarettes.

Registration

The registration is in the Planetarium across the street of the Marriott Hotel. Please use the entrance facing Leof. Andrea Siggrou.

Venue

The Sustainable Starter will be situated at the Marriott Hotel (Mezzanine floor). Some of the workshops will be situated at the Marriott as well. All other meetings will be at the Eugenidio Planetarium.. In general, we are trying to make the paths easy to follow by means of appropriate signs.

If you want to attend the pre-conference dinner, please give us a short note in advance. Fee will be 50€ for food and Drinks.
Late arrivals on Tuesday: we will meet at the roof top terrace of the Marriott Hotel at approximately 11 pm

Dress Code

Welcome Reception: Casual
Gala Dinner: Smartly dress (Jacket & Tie/Evening dress)
Shoes: On Wednesday evening please keep in mind that we have a foot walk to Lycabettus Hill for about 10 Minutes to the Welcome Reception. Comfortable shoes are recommended. For those who are not able to walk we are offering a ride with a funicular.
On Thursday evening the gala dinner will be situated outside at Ble Peninsula. The ground will be lawn. So we recommend to wear flat shoes.

The average outside temperature is 28°/82 F during the day, at night 16°/60 F,

Special dietary request

Vegetarian and other options will be available at all lunches and dinners but we would appreciate an early information concerning special nutrition restrictions.

Pictures, footage

The pictures and footage, taken by IFES staff or photographer at this event, may be used without further notification later within IFES printed and online marketing material. Registration at this event implies that you are in agreement unless IFES receives written notification from you stating to the contrary.

Tour Duration: 7,5 hours- including travel time.

Saturday 29th – Athens Five senses
Meeting point at 09.30 at hotel lobby. The bus will depart from the front side of the hotel Sygrou Avenue at 09.40 since its a 50 seated bus and cannot fit the hotel entrance street.

The Athens Five senses tour’s duration is 2,5 hours from 10.00-12.30
From 12.30-14.00 free time with no guide to visit the museum of enjoy lunch in the local tavernas. Entrance to the Acropolis museum is 10€. To access just the restaurant, no fee is due.

Some additional information for the Saturday tour.

Buses will drop off participants behind the Acropolis museum so that those who wish to drop off their luggage they can do so at the Acropolis Museum vestiaire. Pick up point will be the exact same location as the drop off. Pick up to Marriot Hotel is set for 14.00.
For the planning it is necessary that we are informed who is going from the Plaka Tour directly to the airport and needs a Luggage storage.
