Starting today, their epic large-hole aluminium frame is produced with the CLIMATEPARTNER CERTIFIED label. A small label, but making a huge impact in the event industry.

90% of beMatrix’s produced ECO+ frames are now CLIMATEPARTNER CERTIFIED. For 12 different frame dimensions, the total reduced emissions are more than 9.000 tonnes CO2 annually. Does 9.000 tonnes not mean much to you? That’s the emission equivalent of 1.4 million cheeseburgers, according to The Carbon Footprint of Everything by expert Mike Breners-Lee.
Climate Partner started by calculating the original carbon footprint for their products using both a cradle-to-customer and an end-of-lifecycle analysis. Next, they set reduction goals.
Edwin continues: “We have implemented numerous measures in our production process. To begin with, the welded beMatrix frame is built to last and consists entirely of aluminium. In 2012, the team introduced our ECO+ finish, a non-toxic alternative to anodising. Six years later, our automated production was up and running, significantly reducing material waste. The production runs 100% on renewable energy. Over the past few years, we have collaborated with suppliers to increase the amount of recycled aluminium from 33% in 2019 to 78,5% today, without compromising on quality. In addition, all production scrap is 100% recycled. I am immensely proud of the path and measures taken.”
The beMatrix customers now buy CLIMATEPARTNER CERTIFIED straight frames. All the measures, numbers and contributions can be tracked by scanning the QR code next to the Climate Partner label on the frames itself. With this, the customers of beMatrix can offer a unique value to their customers in the stand and event industry.
