Dear fellow IFES Colleagues,
As we approach the close of another dynamic and inspiring year, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you within our IFES community. What a year! We have grown in quality, influence, and quantity due to your dedication, creativity, and collaborative spirit. You have once again demonstrated what is possible when passionate professionals join forces with a shared purpose.
This year has been marked by meaningful progress and remarkable accomplishments for our association. We have seen the influence of IFES continue to rise across the global events industry as a result of attending numerous events and finding mutual agreements with significant partner associations. This is a testament to the strength of our network and the quality of expertise we collectively represent. Together, we have elevated our voice, strengthened our visibility, and reinforced the essential role of our sector in the broader economic and cultural landscape. We promise and deliver. New initiatives, such as the Master Class in the US with strong support from EDPA, the Ambassador program at a global scale with four fantastic members in various regions or the leadership of IFES within the global Better Stands by NZCE program, are just three examples of what we are capable of doing when working together. This is collaboration in combination with leadership that makes a true difference that I am very proud of.
Our work across the corner pillars of our community – advocacy, future-proofing our industry, leadership, digital transformation, events and education – has been both ambitious and strategically impactful. I am especially proud of the robust formats we have established this year, from powerful knowledge-sharing platforms to forward-looking initiatives that equip our members for what lies ahead. These efforts are not merely programs; they are investments in our shared future and in the long-term vitality of the event and exhibition ecosystem. This way, IFES becomes an increasingly relevant partner to speak with when it comes to event creation and execution.
As we turn toward a new year, I am filled with confidence in what we will achieve together. Our community continues to embody resilience, innovation, and unity – qualities that will guide us as we build on our successes and embrace the opportunities of 2026 and beyond.
