Well-known companies already on board for the C-star Premiere from 13 – 15 May 2015

The reception dinner for the inaugural edition of C-star, Shanghai’s International Trade Fair for Solutions and Trends all about Retail, was successfully held. The event, which took place on October 16th, was attended not only be media representatives but also numerous international industry experts such as Danfoss, Almax, Cegid or Geck and can thus be regarded as a full success. Supporters of C-star like Mr. Daniel Wan, President of the Asia Society of Visual Merchandise, or Mr. Wang Wei, Chief Advisor of Mall China, were also present.

The purpose of the C-star Reception Dinner was not only to present the concept of C-star to the public but also to give industry professionals a chance to meet and exchange ideas with each other amidst a relaxing atmosphere. Amongst others, the event featured an introductive speech by Mr. Axel Bartkus, General Manager of Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., and Ms. Elke Moebius, Project Director of the world’s leading retail trade fair EuroShop, C-star’s mother fair, which is successfully being hosted since 1966 by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, the holding company of Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.

Promising prospects

Meanwhile, the preparations for C-star are underway and, considering the positive feedback of industry peers so far, the prospects for C-star’s first edition are very promising. C-star will focus on solutions and trends for four retail segments: shop-fitting, lighting, refrigeration and store-design; retail technology; visual merchandising and marketing; and stand construction.

Well-known companies such as Nedap Retail, Bizerba, Carel Industries, Digiscale, Ganter Interior, Glory Global Solutions, Interroll, Interstore, LS Lighting Equipment, Sibu Design, SI Retail, Schlegel, SuperBasket, Carel Electronics, Self Electronics or Tegometall will participate at C-star 2015.

C-star, planned to be an annual event, will be held on 13-15 May 2015 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre Co. Ltd. (SNIEC), Hall N1, and will be accompanied by a retail conference with a truly exceptional panel.
