As of May 30, 2024, EACA and IFES have come together to form a Strategic Partnership arrangement for three years. Jim Wurm, EACA Executive Director and Steve Riches, IFES Board Director signed the mutual agreement while both were participating in the ECA Legislative Day in Washington, DC.
IFES is the International Federation of national associations and individual companies active in the design, conception, production and show services for temporary structures used at exhibitions and trade shows. It is the only organization dedicated to specific needs of exhibit designers and providers of tradeshow services.
EACA is the Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Association which represents and supports the needs of exhibitors, exhibitor-appointed contractors (EACs), and other stakeholders involved in trade shows and events within the United States. The EACA focuses on advocating for best practices, promoting industry standards, and providing resources and support to its members across the country.
Details of the collaboration include mutual commitments to provide one another’s members with educational content at their respective meetings or conferences, and to organize an annual forum (either online or at an industry event) to allow members of each association to exchange knowledge on topics of interest, among other information exchanges.
