How well prepared is the European LiveCom industry for cross-border growth? The European Industry Survey 2025 of the LiveCom Alliance provides insights into the international development potential and highlights key challenges and success factors.
The LiveCom Alliance has published the results of the European Industry Survey 2025. This year’s edition focuses entirely on the topic of internationalization in LiveCom for the first time.
Maarten Schram, Founder and Managing Director of the LiveCom Alliance, emphasizes: “To move forward, the industry must invest in legal and operational expertise, build stronger cultural and strategic capabilities, and actively share knowledge and best practices across borders. It shows the need for more peer-to-peer learning and cross-border collaboration. As the European platform for peer collaboration, LCA is committed to driving exchange, connection, and learning across its member network – helping agencies turn ambition into impact, and empowering the sector to grow stronger together.”
The study shows that the will to expand is there, but the potential is far from exhausted.
Key findings at a glance
• Almost 57% of the companies surveyed are already active internationally – 61% of them even outside Europe.
• The most important drivers: revenue growth, new customer access and risk diversification.
• The survey distinguishes five stages of internationalization: from export and joint ventures to global commitments and franchising models.
• On average, internationally active companies generate 24% of their turnover outside Europe.
• The challenges remain great: high initial investments, legal hurdles and cultural differences are slowing down expansion. Intercultural competence, strong partnerships and smart technologies such as AI and digital platforms are in demand.
