Light and Lighting
About the presentation
Lighting is the action to provide Light. Light is a vital part of our daily life. Good lighting at work, either in offices or in production facilities, offers employee satisfaction, performance, comfort and safety. In shops, exhibitions and galleries, it creates ambiance and provides accentuation on important items and their characteristics. At home it builds a comfortable, pleasurable atmosphere to live in.
But to be able to obtain good lighting, you must get to learn Light and study its properties and the techniques to achieve it.
This is a non-scientific presentation, which will touch the following subjects:
- Light and the need of it
- The nature of Light
- How we see and what we see
- Color, Contrast and Optical illusions
- Creating Light and Light sources
- Measuring Light and the color of Light
- Controlling Light, Light beams and Luminaires
- How to light objects
- Lighting Control Systems
- What to look for and what to avoid – Do’s and Don’ts

Challenges for professional live communication caused by changing values and fast moving cultural trends
about the workshop
Currently, the biggest challenges for live communication professionals in agencies, decision leaders in companies and marketing departments are:
– Social media based communication overkill
– Extremely fast changing values in assumed stable social and economical structures
– Permanently moving preferences and interests in target groups
It is insufficient to chase the latest trends to catch up with the client´s attitude. What is needed most, is to forecast the next preferences or to influence the mindset of clients. But how do we filter trends out of big data, how sensibly use digitization or digital tools, and how do we influence clients without forming opinions?
This workshop will discuss creative approaches and how to meaningfully adapt to trends to always stay in our client´s memory…
