Austal Exhibition Stand at PACIFIC 2019

Austal is the builder of the world’s largest high speed naval ships. They are a booming company, with record profits. Austal is a dream client, especially for those with a love of military and defence.

“Today, we are the world’s largest aluminium shipbuilder and Australia’s largest defence exporter; with contracts to build high speed naval vessels for clients around the world, including the US Navy.”
Paul Sparke, Marketing Manager, Austal

Austal approached Expo Centric to help them design and build a large 12 x 12 metre stand at Pacific 2019.

Paul Sparke, Marketing Manager for Austal said he choose Expo Centric as their stand builder due to the premium stand quality and creative stand design, “Pacific is the highlight of our exhibition marketing strategy, so the stand needed to help us convey our brand messaging perfectly.

“From the initial design concept, Expo Centric captured the Austal brand presence. Not only was the stand high quality and visually attractive, it was fully functional for a large 3 day exhibition”

The stand was an exciting build and allowed the Expo Centric design team to really get creative with space and structure.

The designer of the Austal stand Andy Bartlett, said while it was a challenge to design a stand to encapsulate all of the prowess and achievements Austal have, he believes the team rose up to the task.

“Austal is a leader in their market, so the design had to reflect this and demonstrate to the exhibition attendees their ability and expertise.

“I believe the final design allowed Austal to achieve a dominating brand presence at the show. The use of large imagery on LED video walls as well as printed graphics, helped to convey these messages and achieve the desired outcomes.”

The team created a masterpiece with:

  • An extra large 6 m high rigged bulk head
  • Graphic wall displays
  • 2 x functional conference rooms
  • 9 x custom displays for model ships
  • Overside LED screens
  • Lounge area
  • Sleek white finishes

Expo Centric were also privileged to build other stands at the same show, presenting a dominating presence for the company.

  • Defence Tasmania: Expo Centric built two stands for this client at Pacific 2019. A large 6 x 12 metre stand with conference room and a 4 x 10 metre stand with an impressive 8.7 metre long boat on display.
  • Serco: Serco had a 6 x 6 metre stand that wowed attendees with a 3.5m LEGO display of a battle ship.
  • TeeKey: TeeKay had a smaller 3 x 3 metre stand at Pacific 2019, but it packed a punch with a 2.5 x 2.5 LED video wall.

Pacific 2019 was one of the country’s largest and most exciting exhibitions. Pacific 2019 was the biggest and busiest yet exhibition yet, with attendances up 27 per cent over the 2017 event and a 20 per cent increase in exhibitor companies. The biennial expo is the only comprehensive international exhibition of its kind in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
