SEPTEMBER – we officially announce the start of the autumn trade show season, and as every year, this is an incredibly busy time in our industry. In Poland it is the end of summer holidays and the beginning of the school year as well.
Why is this so significant to us? Together with the Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry and its Members, we initiated the Monter Expo project, aimed at creating professions directly preparing individuals for the work involved in the construction, assembly, and dismantling of trade show and exhibition displays.
This project, developed in collaboration with the Construction and Woodworking School in Poznań, responds to the growing demand for skilled workers in the exhibition industry.
For the first time in Europe, students are prepared for the following professions:
- Exhibition and Fair Trade Show Structure Assembler (3 years of study) – vocational school level,
- Fair Trade Show and Exhibition Industry Technician (5 years of study) – secondary school level.
The teaching staff involved in the “Monter Expo” program strives not only to impart technical knowledge but also to teach young trainees responsibility and teamwork, as well as how to work under time pressure.
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, we have a deep understanding of all the challenges and difficulties associated with this profession. That’s why we share our knowledge by:
- Organizing internships in our workshops, both carpentry and electrical,
- Supporting the creation of the educational program and participating in the examination process,
- Promoting the school and the “Monter Expo” program, including participation in educational fairs, conferences, and on social media,
- Providing carpentry materials necessary for practical lessons.
We believe that soon, all these efforts will result in the creation of a highly qualified workforce in the fair trade show and exhibition industry.
