Ufi’s 31st Global Barometer is based on a global survey that was concluded in July 2023. representing up-to-date information on the status and outlook of the global exhibition industry and on 19 specific markets and regions.

The outlook is incredibly heartening for the Exhibitions and Events industry as our focus shifts away from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic towards business development elements such as “Changing customer expectations”, “Digitalisation” and “Climate-related regulations”.

31st Ufi Global Barometer insights:

🔍  #1: Recovery complete…

🚀 The exhibition industry has left the pandemic in the rear-view mirror faster than expected. As markets reopened, the general consensus was that it would take (at least) until 2024 before the sector would reach its 2019 record levels again.

📈 The data in the latest UFI Global Barometer now tracks global revenues for this year at 97% of 2019 levels – essentially on par with the best year the industry ever had.

💬 “This is up still from the previous barometer that closed just before China reopened in January. Recovery in this key market has notably improved expectations for the Asia/Pacific region, in which China is the biggest player,” comments Kai Hattendorf, UFI CEO.

🌐 The full report includes this and much more for 19 leading exhibition markets and 5 regions.

The objective is to provide vital data and best practices to the entire exhibition industry.
