Welcoming Miriane Nunes-Gnau to the IFES Management Team

Join us in welcoming Miriane Nunes-Gnau, IFES Project Manager to the IFES Management Office from September.

Brazilian-born Miriane’s native language is Portuguese, with additional fluency in English and Spanish and German, perfect for IFES’ international flavour. She feels that that the move to IFES is a step further along the path she chose when she moved into the Tourism industry after 4,5 years in banking.

“I started in a small travel agency and then changed to hotels, where I fell in love with events. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work for some well-known companies like Club Med Brazil, Le Meridien Piccadilly Circus, Compass Group (at Addleshaw Goddard, London), Trust International Frankfurt (for Leading Hotels of the World) and Serco Services (at the European Central Bank), at customer service, operations, reservations and Meetings and Conferences departments. My last work experience was at JBT Germany, a Japanese tour operator, as Land Tours Operations Coordinator,” she says. “I´m very excited to be back to events at IFES. I hope to develop new skills, meet interesting people, and contribute to the success of the team. “

Miriane’s extensive experience with Customer Service, in the Banking and Tourism Industries, will be very helpful in her interactions with members, while her Conference and meetings (operations and organisation), hotel booking, and tour land operations experience will be put into service in the organisation and management of IFES´events. She also enjoys training and induction.

A collaborative workplace environment based on understanding and respect is a top priority for this new team member, so we believe that Miriane will be a great asset in taking the IFES Management Team into the future. Welcome aboard.
