EXHIBITOR managed to outrank all of its competitors in three separate categories: Best Profile Article with “Universal Audio’s Hearing Test” by Brian Dukerschein, earning EXHIBITOR its first-ever Gold Award in that category; Best Regular Column for Exhibiting 101 by Candy Adams; and Best Editorial with “Fake News” by Travis Stanton, netting the publication its first back-to-back editorial win as EXHIBITOR also took home the 2018 Gthat category. The magazine also took home Silver Awards in the Best How-To Article category for “30 Tips to Court the Press” by Linda Armstrong and the Front Cover/Special Issue category for the cover of its July 2018 issue featuring the 32nd Annual Salary Survey, designed by Kelly Tedrick.

“Since TABPI is a global organization, we consider these awards the Olympic medals of publishing,” said Stanton, editor of EXHIBITOR magazine. “We’re absolutely thrilled to add five more to our collection this year.” Stanton also noted that EXHIBITOR was among just five publications to win four or more awards in this year’s competition – and the only magazine to win Gold Awards in three editorial categories.

In addition, EXHIBITOR received Honorable Mentions in the categories of Best Feature Article for “Rick and Morty’s Excellent Adventure” by Charles Pappas, Best Opening Spread for “Seven Ways to Disengage on the Show Floor” designed by Kristina Tran, and Best Single Issue for its February 2018 edition.

“What always astounds me is the remarkable quality of the stories and images submitted each year by these print and online titles,” said Paul J. Heney, president of TABPI. “Despite unremitting change in our industry, the one constant is that quality B2B journalism is thriving. The future for print and digital publications continues to look bright thanks to the resilience, creativity, and commitment exhibited by the best among us.”

About TABPI
TABPI endeavors to bring together editors working for English-language publications worldwide, and encourage a common dedication to editorial ethics and excellence. The first phase of the organization’s objective is accomplished by the creation of a comprehensive editorial and design competition. This competition, The Tabbies, recognizes excellence in trade, association and business publications. Additionally, it will expose editors to similar B2B magazines and their local practices across the globe. Associations in different countries and regions will be invited to participate as official partners. Future phases include partnering with additional editorial associations around the world and working toward bringing various local groups together, allowing them to share current resources to each other’s benefit.
