The 22nd Forum for Advertisement Creation and Exhibition Design was held in Changzou, China between January 7th until the 9th and was organized by one of IFES’s Chinese members –LingTong Exhibition System Company. This successful event discussed among other topics, the current trends in the Chinese exhibition industry and the difficulties and challenges lay ahead the next few years.
IFES was invited to attend to this event once again as it has on the past, and was represented by both its President and Vice President, Voicu Sferdianu and Peter Theodorides who not only spoke on various global events having to do with sustainability and international design to a +500 attendees, but also met with top executives of the China Association for Exhibition Centers (CAEC ), Changzhou Administration for Industry and Commerce Management Committee of National Advertising, Changzhou Municipal people’s government, as well as various international companies in our industry.
The event showed that the current world economic crisis will continue to impact tremendously our industry and that those that are willing to adapt and change will be those that will survive the next few years.
The hosts, LingTong, which celebrated their 30th anniversary, showed their new impressive production grounds to their guests, as well as having a spectacular gala dinner with many parallel cultural and musical entertainment.
Both our President and Vice President were invited to visit other exhibition venues like Beijing, Shanghai, among others,in the near future and speak on how IFES can be the voice in our industry on global exhibition trends.
