As the bustle of EuroShop 2023 (26 Feb – 2 March 2023) dies down, we have a moment to reflect on an extremely positive expo event. What a pleasure to harness the power of Live Exhibition interaction to take us forward into the future once again!
Some 1,830 exhibitors at EuroShop 2023 put forward many new advancements and clever innovations, attracting more than 81,000 visitors to the Halls of Messe Dusseldorf for some intensive in-person engagement. 68% of these visitors were international and our Global Village in the Expo+Event Section saw tremendous traffic and plenty of interest in what the IFES network has to offer. Over 20.000 Visitors spent several hours in Hall 1 which was dedicated to the Expo and Event industry – a clear increase in numbers compared to 2020.
Our members provided comprehensive and stimulating content in the Expo+Event Stage program, promoted our upcoming participation in ExhibitorLive in Louisville and our upcoming highly-anticipated World Summit in Singapore. They also ensured that sustainability remained a hot topic throughout the entire event, enlightening some, inspiring others and providing a way forward for those already on this path.
Our IFES family manning the stands concluded hundreds of meetings, so there is plenty to follow up in the coming days, weeks and months as we bring these connections to fruition. We are also excited to have scores of applications from prospective members coming in, so IFES will enjoy a growth spurt as a result of our participation in this event.

Scan Display was established in 1996 and is a leader in the African exhibition, events and retail display industries, specialising in award-winning exhibition stands, displays, and exhibition and event infrastructure.
Representation
Scan Display has branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Botswana and Rwanda, and a network of distributors throughout Africa. Justin Hawes co-founded the Event Greening Forum in 2011. The forum is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote greening practices within the South African events industry.

Justin Hawes attended his first EuroShop show in 1999 and the Scan Display team members have been regular visitors to the show since then. At the 2023 show, Scan Display will once again be part of the IFES pavilion, where Justin and his team look forward to meeting international clients who are looking for a partner for projects in Africa.
