It is a great honour for us to welcome the Österreichische Post AG with their Chief Executive Officer DI Dr. Georg Pölzl as a keynote speaker at our congress in Vienna “IFES World Summit 2015”. This enterprise is the leading postal and logistics service provider in Austria. As a successful specialist, the company has expanded with subsidiary firms in over thirteen European countries over the last few years.

Altogether, this concern achieves sales of 2,4 billion Euros per year and employs a total of around 24.000 employees internationally. Hence the Österreichische Post AG is counted among the twenty biggest companies of Austria. Most notably in regards of the field “green logistics”, the Österreichische Post is pioneering.

We are delighted that Mister DI Dr. Georg Pölzl is going to tell us about this success story in his keynote speech.

“IFES SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE”

Another highlight will be the contribution of Vienna’s “Pioneers Festival”, Europe’s leading conference for innovation and future technologies that brings together inspiring entrepreneurs, well-known investors, tech media and aspiring startup teams at Hofburg Vienna every year. With their platform of more than 20 000 startup companies, Pioneers io are “THE GATEWAY TO THE STARTUPS WORLD”.

Together with IFES, the Festival’s team will organize a “SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE” aimed at successful startup companies that made sustainability an integral element of their business model. The finals of this challenge will be held at our World Summit, with the best teams pitching their technological innovations live on stage.

The product, service or underlying technology with the highest expected “sustainability impact” will be then selected by an interdisciplinary jury composed of corporate representatives from different industries.
