ABOUT THE PROJECT

LINGTONG has invested in a roof solar power generation project utilizing 11,500 square meters of roof area in order to reduce the company’s energy consumption. In this project, LINGTONG builds and consumes itself and the power consumption mode is self-generation and self-consumption. The surplus electricity can be connected to the main electrical power net, the first phase of the solar power generation project was implemented with 800 kilowatts of power installed.

A green energy such as solar power generation does not only save coal and other resources but also reduces the need to use harmful substances produced by coal, alleviating air pollution, in line with the company’s “green” concept.

Additionally, more than 10% was made up of renewable energy; the company’s main water supply for the office building, greening the water supply and equipment circulating water replenishment, recycling the cooling water, utilizing closed cooling towers, using water-saving equipment, and reducing water consumption by at least 10%. And, LINGTONG has installed 14 super-large energy-saving fans with a power as low as 1.5 kilowatts in its factory in recent years as part of a super-large, energy-saving fan replacement project.

As a result of the implementation of the project, the company was able to save 40,320 kilowatt-hours of electricity each year, which greatly reduced its electric energy consumption.

THE RESULT

The capacity of the solar power generation system is 800,000 kilowatt-hours per year, which can be sustained for a period of 20 years. A accumulated reduction of 16,513 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, and a reduction of 6,199 tons of coal usage. Moreover, solar modules affixed to the roof can effectively reduce the temperature of the roof tile surface by 5 °C to 10 °C.
