ABOUT THE PROJECT

ProjectC!™ represents beMatrix’s ambitious initiative in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aimed at ensuring a sustainable future for the event industry and beMatrix’s own operations. The project has a quadruple ambition:

1. Sustainable Event Building System: ProjectC!™ strives to develop the most sustainable event building system by prioritizing the use of recycled, reused, and recyclable materials, thus minimizing environmental impact.
2. Carbon Neutrality: beMatrix aims to become a net-zero company by 2026 by measuring, reducing, and neutralizing their carbon footprint. This involves internal efforts to minimize emissions and contributions to neutralize unavoidable carbon outputs.
3. Employee Engagement: Creating awareness and involvement among employees is essential within ProjectC!™. By actively engaging with all staff members and raising awareness, beMatrix seeks to foster a culture where staff members are actively informed and engaged on sustainability.
4. Industry shift: ProjectC!™ extends beyond individual company goals to collaborate with and support other stakeholders in the event industry’s value chain. By working together, the aim is to collectively achieve carbon neutrality for the entire industry by 2030.

By championing sustainable products, carbon neutrality, and collaboration, ProjectC!™ sets a benchmark for best practices within the event building industry, exemplifying a commitment to both sustainable stewardship and corporate responsibility!

THE RESULT

Since 2019, beMatrix tracks its company carbon footprint. It plans to reduce GHG emissions by 46.2% (scopes 1 & 2) and 27.5% (scope 3) by 2026, aligning with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C target. BeMatrix developed a Carbon Footprint Calculator, helping customers measuring their stand’s environmental impact. BeMatrix started transforming its frame factory into an energy-neutral facility, reusing building materials. The UNFCCC’s “Climate Neutral Now” badge has validated BeMatrix’s sustainability efforts!
