ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our brand-new 36.000m² headquarters will set a new standard when it comes to minimizing the impact of construction on the environment. We have focussed on the following key areas to maximize our sustainable and durable building efforts:

Site selection
- Evolis Business Park was chosen out of strategic and sustainable grounds:
- Modern, green & not ecologically sensitive industrial area
- Next to E17 highway connecting important cities (Paris – Brussels – Ghent), improving accessibility.
- Easily accessible via segregated bicycle network

Energy efficiency
- Reducing energy consumption and using renewable energy:
- Geothermics: 142 drillings for high-efficiency HVAC purposes, resulting in 310.000kwH area heating and 265.000kWh active cooling per year.
- Use of LED lighting.
- 20.000m² of solar panels generating over 3.100.000kW per year.

- 2.000m² of floor-to-ceiling office windows maximize natural lighting, reducing the need for artificial lighting.
- Thermal comfort: insulated glass (U-value 1W/m²K) and green roofs for an optimal climate.
- Ventilation system safeguarding air quality.

- An on-site fitness facility leads to a satisfied and healthy workforce.
- Views of nature and green terraces allow people to escape from the daily “office” space and encourage creativity.

- Situated along a “bicycle highway”.
- Bike leasing for employees.
- Coworking spaces (available for other companies), reducing traffic streams.
- Pedestrian-friendly area surrounding the building.

By focussing on the above key elements when designing and constructing our new facility, we have generated a positive environmental impact and enhanced the health and well-being of our employees. Our new environmentally-friendly building will help us further reduce our carbon footprint. This goal aligns with our company mission where we strive to offer our customers a fully sustainable solution.
